Designing dupatta's using Geogebra

Dear all,
Hope you are having good time. It was a very nice experience to be with you in the workshop.

In groups, we managed to design the dupattas, using various tools of Geogebra. The dupattas that we designed are as under. To complete this activity we would like you to vote for the best dupatta by commenting (1,2,3,4) on the post. The dupatta which get maximum votes would be considered as the the best one :)

Let us know if any of the dupatta is missing.

Best Wishes,

Lets introduce our selves

Dear all,
To be the community of learners, we all need to have interaction among ourselves. I would appreciate, if you could post your introductions and read each other's responses to get a better idea of your peers who are participating with you in this course.

Introduce yourself by answering below three questions:

1. What is your name?
2. Your school system?
3.  Which area/topics in mathematics you love to teach and why ?

The first five respondents will get an extra advantage in the classroom. Gear up and post!

Welcome Note

Hello participants!

We Dr. Nusrat Fatima Rizvi, Farzana Lakhani and Zeenar Salim welcome you to the course "Using Technology to Develop Geometric Reasoning Skills". Thank you for registering in this course.

This course will provide you with an opportunity to:

  • revisit notions of geometrical reasoning skills;
  • develop an understanding of how geometrical reasoning skills can be promoted among students;
  • explore different geometry concepts of a school’s curriculum;
  • use a dynamic geometry computer software and
  • engage in whole-class instruction, small-group and hands-on activities/discussions, problem-solving and computer-based tasks
To extend this learning experience beyond the three days of the workshop this blog has been created. Here, you can interact with each other, share your learning experiences and reflections on course, learn from each other, and can also post your confusions and queries. Our interaction would help us to develop the understanding of different concepts. Moreover, we will post the glimpses of all the activities that we will do throughout the course, so that you can refer them as and when needed.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Nusrat Fatima Rizvi, Farzana Lakhani & Zeenar Salim
